BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The City of Bucyrus has appointed Leslie Holbrook, BSN, RN, CLNC, to the Crawford County Board of Health, replacing Phyllis Crall, RN, who is retiring after 11 years of dedicated service to the Board.
Ms. Holbrook is a registered nurse with a strong background in healthcare and a commitment to protecting and improving community health. Her professional experience and understanding of local health needs will be a valuable asset as the Board continues to guide Crawford County Public Health in its mission.
Crawford County Health Commissioner Kate Siefert expressed appreciation for both the outgoing and incoming Board members. “Phyllis Crall has been a steadfast advocate for public health throughout her 11 years of service,” said Siefert. “Her nursing expertise, thoughtful leadership, and dedication to the residents of Crawford County, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, have had a lasting impact. We are grateful for her service and wish her a well-deserved retirement. We are also pleased to welcome Leslie Holbrook to the Board of Health and look forward to the knowledge and perspective she will bring to this important role.”
Ms. Holbrook will assume her duties immediately and will work alongside fellow Board members to support policies and programs that promote, protect, and improve the health of Crawford County residents. Her fellow Board of Health members include Zach Wolfe, Dean Sipe, Jodi Keller, Dr. Todd Strickland, Scott Woodworth and Garnet “Sis” Love. The next regularly scheduled Board of Health meeting is February 17, 2026, 4:30pm, at Crawford County Public Health, 1520 Isaac Beal Rd., Bucyrus.
