The discussion at the Crestline Village Council meeting was full of pressure – water pressure, that is.
A group of concerned citizens addressed the council at its meeting Monday evening to bring attention to the fact that their street, Cedarville Drive, has a serious problem with water pressure.
According to Richard Williams, the problem has been consistent with him for the past 10 years and believes it to be high time to try and find a solution. Fred and Joanne Vodrae agreed, saying that they often don’t even have enough pressure to flush their toilet.
According to Village Administrator Marc Milliron and council member Aaron Buckner, the solution might not be an easy one to find. Over the years, there have been multiple attempts at solving the issue to no avail. Now that it’s coming to the surface again the city is planning on running a test loop around the area to try and have some answers by the upcoming Sewer, Water, and Public Utilities meeting on July 7.
In reference to the problem, Buckner said, “We’re talking and we want to come up with a solid plan.”
In further discussion, council discussed preparations to be taken for the upcoming village audit, as well as some social events to take place. These include June 21, which marks the 65th anniversary of the Crestline Lion’s Club and has officially been proclaimed Crestline Lion’s Club Day, as well as fireworks scheduled on July 3, with a rain date of July 5.
Finally, planning for the 2014 Harvest Festival has begun, and this year’s festival has been dedicated to the late Jim Maddy, former council member and prominent citizen of Crestline, to honor his memory and all that he meant to the community.
