The Bucyrus United Methodist Church and the Crawford County Arts Council are working together to provide an evening Good Friday service for the community at 7 p.m. Friday, April 18.
While the service will contain some spoken Word and visual presentation, the majority of the service will be relevant music by various artists and groups from our county.
The service is open to all and is being held at the Bucyrus UMC Worship Center at 227 S. Walnut St. in Bucyrus. The worship center is handicap accessible. A nursery is available.
A free-will offering will be taken with the proceeds being given to the Crawford County Arts Council.
There will also be a community-wide Easter Sunday Sunrise Service held at 7 a.m. Sunday, April 20 in the grandstands at the Crawford County Fairgrounds.
This non-denominational service features a dramatic recitation of the Easter Story by Matt Eichhorn, singing by the Pastors Choir, made up of pastors from Bucyrus-area churches, and special music by United In Harmony.
Sunrise is expected at 7:17 a.m. With the grandstands facing east, this should offer a perfect view of the sunrise, weather permitting. The service will take place rain or shine.
This is the second annual Sunrise Service sponsored by the Bucyrus Ministerial Fellowship. For more information, please call 419-562-5061.
