“Cherries and berries everywhere!” suspect caught in highspeed pursuit in Marion County.

MARION—On July 14, around 8:12 AM, the Upper Sandusky Police Depart was in pursuit of a vehicle that was headed southbound on US23, at which time it entered into Marion County. The Marion Post of the Ohio State Patrol then continued the pursuit. The suspect Jeffrey Purvis Sr., continued southbound on US23 and just north of Marion-Williamsport Road, stop sticks were deployed. The suspect struck the stop sticks and continued southbound on US23, and then exited at St. Rt 309, where he went off the road in the southeast corner of that intersection. He became stuck and was taken into custody without further incident.
