With an Old West theme, the posse known as the Bucyrus Area Chamber of Commerce held its annual Celebration of Success at Dillinger’s Event Center Wednesday afternoon.
Jane Kennard, office manager of the ADM Benefits Plans Agency, was named the 2015 Employee of the Year. Kennard was surprised and thankful for the recognition.
“It is quite a surprise, I am just thankful that they thought something positive of me, and recognized me for this. This is very nice,” Kennard said.
Brandy “Bev” Robertson, owner of Brandy’s Beauty Salon for 40 years, was presented with the 2015 Boss of the Year.
“This is really great, I am thankful for my employees. One of them has been with me for 40 years,” Robertson said.
Games designed to build teamwork skills were played such as Ranch Chores, a game in which teams seated at their tables had to stand up plastic barn animals one at a time until each animal was standing within the plastic fence. Drawdown at the OK Corral was a game of Pictionary with Old West themes, and in Cattle Drive teams had to round up balloons which corresponded to the color name of their table.
Celebrity waiters Will Beard, Eunice Collene, Sheriff Scott Kent, Jason Kester, Pat Logsdon, and John Roshtash served plates of BBQ chicken, beans and potato salad with pie for desert.
