SANDUSKY, OH (CRAWFOR COUNTY NOW)—Cedar Point’s HalloWeekends is back for its 27th year, offering family-friendly activities by day and spine-chilling frights by night. The event runs on select days and nights from Sept. 12 through Nov. 2.
Daytime Activities
Families can enjoy a variety of activities, including corn and hay mazes, pint-sized trikes for kids, pumpkin decorating, and games. These activities provide a fun and festive atmosphere for guests of all ages.
Nighttime Frights
As the sun sets, HalloWeekends transforms into a haven for thrill-seekers with haunted mazes, scare zones, and eerie entertainment. New this year is “Midnight’s Curse,” a show at the HalloWeekends Main Stage that takes guests into their darkest nightmares. Hosted by Mr. Midnight, the show features jaw-dropping acrobatic performances, fire manipulation, high-flying aerialists, and treacherous balancing acts. Performances are held on Friday and Saturday nights and are not recommended for children.
Interactive Experiences
Guests can enhance their HalloWeekends experience with Mr. Midnight’s interactive lantern. This new feature unlocks spooky surprises throughout the park, revealing hidden secrets and reacting mysteriously in haunted mazes, live performances, and select locations. The lantern is available for purchase at select retail locations inside the park, with limited quantities available.
Seasonal Flavors
Cedar Point’s culinary team has conjured up new seasonal flavors, including Glazed Gargoyle Chicken Wings, Apple Cider Donut Bundt Cake, Butternut Squash and Prosciutto Pizza, Deep-Fried Cheesecake, Hellfire Fresh-Cut Fries, and the Mummy Roll. These limited-time food items can be found at select locations throughout the park.
Trick-or-Treat Throwbacks
This year, kids’ Trick-or-Treating stations are going retro with themes from retired HalloWeekends haunted attractions like Maniacal Mechanical Screamworks, Pharaoh’s Secret, Fear Faire, Zombie High School, Happy Jack’s Toy Factory, and Toxic Tunnel of Terror. Trick-or-Treating is just one of the more than 20 activities and shows for kids included with park admission.
Entertainment Lineup
Cedar Point’s entertainment lineup includes fall favorites like “Fangs After Dusk,” “Butchers of Rock,” “The Shrieks,” “The Monsters are Coming, Charlie Brown,” and “Wake The Dead.” New this year is the return of “Skeleton Crew,” featuring high-flying skeletons that dance, flip, and bounce high into the air. Also new are the Skeleton Stilt Walkers, larger-than-life characters that roam The Bonewalk, an area geared for all ages.
