The Colonel Crawford school board opened the final meeting of 2016 by recognizing the achievements of this year’s cross country team. Chad Johnson, Anna Reffey, Nicholas Studer, and coach Jody Grove were all present for commendation. Brad Bauer was unable to attend, but also qualified for this fall’s state cross country meet. Johnson, who won the Division III race at the state meet, became the first cross country state champion in school history.

“We are so fortunate to have such a great team, and a great coach,” Principal Jake Bruner said.

Superintendent Todd Martin was very proud to exclaim that the covered walkway between buildings is now finished. This walkway provides shelter from the weather, and increases security by being both enclosed and lighted.

“It makes life easy and we’re very happy with it,” Martin said.
