A friendly contest between rivals for a good cause took place during halftime of the Buckeye Central-Colonel Crawford boys basketball game Tuesday night.

Buckeye Central’s High School Principal Jay Zeiter and Colonel Crawford’s High School Principal Jake Bruner participated in a Principal Shoot Out.

For the cost of $1 per shot, Colonel Crawford fans gave Bruner more than 175 shots, but that was not enough to win. Buckeye Central’s Zeiter was able to bring in more than $275 which gave him a few more balls to shoot.

As a great show of fan pride and their commitment to helping students, this contest was made even sweeter by sending each principal’s money raised to their school. Buckeye Central will use the money to help pay for the 8th grade trip to Washington, DC in May. Colonel Crawford will use the money they raised to offer more student incentives.

A huge thank you goes out to everyone who helped to make this friendly, rivalry fun by helping out with the Principal Shoot Out.
