NORTH ROBINSON- The Colonel Crawford Board of Education heard from Cyrus Bell, the president of the eighth-grade class, on their recent trip to Washington D.C. during the regular board meeting Monday evening.

While in D.C., the students visited several places, such as the Lincoln Memorial, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the final resting place of the Kennedys.

Bell and Intermediate School Principal April Bond expressed their gratitude to the board for allowing them to go on the trip to D.C. The trips only began in the last few years.

The board also heard from Treasurer Vickey Stump as she presented the school’s five-year forecast. She said the district’s main sources of revenue are derived from state funding and real estate taxes.

Stump said she is fairly optimistic about the next five years for the district.

“The next five years seem to be pretty survivable for the school,” said board member  Norm Huber.

The next board meeting will be on June 17 at 7:00 p.m.
