The Colonel Crawford Board of Education approved several items on their agenda Monday evening before heading into an executive session to discuss upcoming negotiations.

Plans to repair the swimming pool area at the former high school building are underway with the board approving a contract with J and F Construction and Development, Inc. to remove and replace the exterior concrete in the pool courtyard area at a cost of $29,226. The board also approved a contract with Kiess Electric Inc. to update the outside lighting to LED at an estimated cost of $14,690. Both are being paid for out of the PI account.

A “true-up” agreement with Mid-Ohio Education in the amount of $77,866 was also approved along with the following items:

  • The non-renewal of all 2017-2018 co-curricular contracts effective June 30, 2018. (Excluding those contracts already approved for 2018-2019)
  • The renewal of food service operation licenses for (K-12 building) CCHS, WCIS, and HCES valid March 1, 2019, at a cost of $389.03. ($403.22 last year)
  • To continue to partner with North Central State College for College Credit Plus.
  • $10 fees for NHS members for the 2018-2019 school year.
  • The school calendar for the 2018-2019 school year.
  • Robert Dille as a sub bus driver pending proper certification and licensure.
  • The out-of-state field-trip for the band program for the 2018-2019 school year. (Sugar Bowl – New Orleans)
  • The Academic Challenge for out-of-state field-trip to Rosemont, Illinois for National Tournament participation on April 27-29. Board to assist with some expenses –Hotel lodging being one.

The next board meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on March 26.
