The Galion-Crestline Chamber of Commerce held its spring breakfast Tuesday to name and honor individuals and businesses for their contributions to those communities.

Galion Community Hospital volunteer Carolyn McElligott was named the Citizen of the Year. McElligott has been a hospital volunteer since 1971.

The Industry of the Year award went to Galion, LLC; and the Business of the Year award was given to Firelands Federal Credit Union. Avita Health System and Galion Community Hospital received the Service Business of the Year award.

Volunteer of the Year was Denise Livingston for her work at the Galion Chamber and Jennifer Kuns was named the Professional of the Year.

Other awards went to veterinarian Dr. John Shuler as Humanitarian of the Year and the Galion Center-YMCA as Organization of the Year.
