I am thankful for the opportunity to stand for election to this important office, and I appreciate the encouragement of all who urged me do so. The reflection and soul-searching I experienced as a judicial candidate reinforces my belief in the importance of judicial elections, both for our community and for the judges we elect.
I am most grateful to each person who supported my campaign. Your courage, kind words and dedication will be lasting inspiration to me. They bring to mind a lyric, uttered in a different context: “I know your image of me is what I hope to be.”
Finally, it is said that voters as a group never lose an election. And that is true. What we as voters choose for ourselves determines our future. As we embark on that future, my thoughts are the same as the day I embarked upon my campaign: I wish the very best for every resident of Crawford County.
