After spending four years at its original location, the Candi Bar in Galion changed locations to accommodate for a growing business.
Originally starting the Candi Bar Coffee & Candy Café at 116 N. Liberty St. four years ago, the Candi Bar outgrew its former location and upgraded to their current location at 125 Harding Way East on Christmas.
Candi Bar owner Beth Cramblett explained the reason for the move.
“We needed a lot larger space for seating, we added some more food items, and just so we can grow,” Cramblett said.
Cramblett described what the extra space is being used for.
“(We are) adding more food items, we are going to do a light lunch, it will probably be a seasonal thing, change every week, wraps, soups, salads. Also our linen business has grown. We do rentals for weddings, or any kind of event. We house that and brides come in and look at it, and it has helped tremendously.”
Cramblett explained that having more room for people to come into the place and sit down for conversation and coffee is her favorite aspect of the new location.
Along with the Candi Bar providing coffee, candy and light lunches, the establishment is also available to be rented out. Cramblett explains what renting the venue encompasses.
“When you rent the venue we take care of all of your table linens, center pieces, things to your specifications,” Cramblett said. “We will take care of the food- be it light lunch appetizers, of course the coffee bar and candy bar, and just come and enjoy and let us take care of everything and clean it up.”
The venue is available for rent on Saturday afternoons and Sundays. Rental for the venue is $64 which includes two hours of use of the Candi Bar, linens, table center pieces, set up, and clean up. A light lunch is $9.95 per person with coffee bar access $3.95 per person. Cramblett said that the prices differ depending on sections chosen by the rental patrons.
