For those tired of the crowds and hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping and the like, Lowe-Volk Park may provide a much-needed respite this week.

At 6:30 on both Tuesday and Thursday evenings, Erin D`Ettore will host a program at Lowe-Volk Park called Crystals and Gemstones. D`Ettore has collected rocks, minerals and gemstones throughout North America. She has experience as a public school teacher and has also worked setting gemstones in jewelry. As a dedicated hobbyist, she has a comprehensive collection to share.

At 4 o’clock Wednesday afternoon Naturalist Logan Masters will lead park visitors and their dogs on an easy stroll through the park. All ages and breeds of dogs are welcome, but leashes are required.

For additional information about these and other Park District programs contact the office at 419-683-9000.
