BUCYRUS — A local business has expanded its services to meet the growing demand of massage therapy clients.

Amanda Wilson, one of three co-owners of Bucyrus Massage Therapy, said a new treatment room has been added to the business to better serve its clients.

The additional space is to better house new med-spa services offered at the business.

Wilson said she recently received her license as an esthetician, bring the total amount on staff to two.

Added med-spa services include dermaplane services, which is removing the top layer of dead skin; microdermabrasion, used to improve the appearance of one’s skin; chemical peels, used to improve skin texture from things such as scarring; and enzymatic facials, used to exfoliate skin.

Wilson said the overall goal of med-spa services is to improve skin texture, color, hyper pigmentation, acne and scarring.

She said the Bucyrus Massage Therapy owners have tried to make the services of the fastest-growing portion of their business as affordable as possible.

A $60-per-month fee is the cost of the med-spa membership and covers all services needed for a client’s skin, however frequently needed.

Bucyrus Massage Therapy houses the services of three massage therapists, one nail technician and two estheticians.

All employees are independent and may make their own schedules as needed to fit their clients’ needs.
