Press release

A proposed disc golf course at the new Roundhouse Park in Crestline is seeking funding.

The idea, spearheaded by Crestline native Rob Shawber, will allow for an 18-hole disc golf course on the village’s far west side and will be an anchor for the new park.

The Parks, Playgrounds, and Recreation Committee has been working with Shawber since June on the project. The final version of the project was approved by the committee at its Sept. 26 meeting.

The total project cost is estimated at $9,000.

Donations of any amount are being accepted. Donations in the amount of $500 or more will result in an individual or business name being placed on the tee marker sign at one of the 18 holes.

Donations can be sent to the Village of Crestline, c/o Bulldog Country Disc Golf Course, 100 North Seltzer Street, Crestline, Ohio 44827.

The disc golf course will benefit Crestline by increasing and enhancing its recreational activities. disc golf provides an inexpensive form of recreation for people of all ages and skill levels. With the growing number of disc golfers in Mid-Ohio, the presence of a disc golf course in Crestline will give them yet another base from which to further promote the sport.

The Bulldog Country Disc Golf Course would join Aumiller Park Disc Golf Course and Reservoir Ridge Disc Golf Course as the only courses in Crawford County.
