Mindy Wells’ felony five drug convicted landed her a seven-month prison stint. Wells pleaded guilty to drug possession Thursday in Crawford County Common Pleas Court. The 33-year-old Bucyrus resident admitted to possessing cocaine on April 5.

Wells was sentenced to seven months in prison with credit for 118 days spent in the county jail. Her license was suspended for six months and she was ordered to pay a $1,250 mandatory drug fine. She must also forfeit any drug-related property to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.

James Zeger pleaded guilty to two counts of theft. The 28-year-old Galion man admitted to depriving elderly adults of property or services on Nov. 3, 2013 and April 6, 2014.

Zeger was sentenced to three years of community control for both cases and was ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol assessment and any follow-up treatment. For the 2013 case, he must pay a $750 fine and $2,354 in restitution to the victim. The 2014 case netted him a $1,250 fine and he must pay $16,290 to the victim in that case.

Twenty-one-year-old Delbert Owens of Canton didn’t know an arrest warrant had been put out for him but, when he found out, he turned himself in to the Richland County Sheriff’s Office. Owens was arraigned on a felony four theft charge in Crawford County Common Pleas Court Thursday afternoon. Owens will be hiring a Canton-based attorney as his counsel. He was released on a personal recognizance bond.

Jared Parmley will be heading back to Kentucky soon. He appeared in Common Pleas Court for an extradition hearing Tuesday. Parmley, who has been charged with burglary in Kentucky, agreed to be extradited back to that state.
