CHATFIELD―A Bucyrus woman was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash Wednesday evening on Ohio 4, north of Chatfield.

Crawford County Sheriff deputies responded to the crash at 8:31 p.m. Wednesday along with members of the Chatfield and Lykens Township Fire Departments, troopers from the Bucyrus Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol and EMS personnel from Portsmouth Ambulance.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered a red 2013 Ford Edge laying on its passenger side. There were four occupants in the vehicle including the driver, Samson Goin, 74, and 68-year-old Sharon Goin, both of Bucyrus, along with two children, ages 4 and 5-years-old.

Sharon Goin was taken by Portsmouth EMS to Bucyrus Community Hospital then flown by medical helicopter to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo for further treatment of injuries she sustained in the crash.

Goin’s vehicle was removed from the scene by Bloomfield Towing Services. The crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and no citations have been issued.
