At approximately 11:37 p.m. on February 27, officers initiated the stop in the 600 block of South Sandusky Avenue after discovering that the driver, 44-year-old Bridget Carnes, was operating the vehicle with a suspended license.

During the traffic stop, officers developed reasonable suspicion of criminal activity and brought in K9 Capone to conduct a sniff of the vehicle. Capone indicated the presence of narcotics, leading to a search that revealed three bags containing approximately 7 grams of suspected methamphetamine.

Carnes was taken into custody and transported to the Crawford County Justice Center. Upon her arrival and intake, authorities discovered an additional bag containing about 4.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine concealed on her person.

In total, law enforcement seized 11.5 grams of methamphetamine during the incident. Carnes is now facing several serious charges, including Trafficking in Drugs (F-4), Possession of Schedule I or II Drugs (F-3), and Illegal Conveyance (F-3)
