BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Bucyrus Water Department has announced new fees.

Beginning today, March 17, 2026, new service fees have been announced that will affect a range of community services. The following changes will take effect:

For reconnect services, the fee structure is as follows:

– Reconnecting before 4 PM will cost $60.
– Reconnecting after 4 PM will increase to $100.

Additional charges include:

– Trip/tag fee: $60
– Service call: $60
– Meter testing: $75

Deposit requirements have also been updated:

– A deposit of $375 will be required for individuals under 62 years of age.
– A reduced deposit of $100 will be required for individuals aged 62 and older.

Trash service fees are as follows:

– Residential trash service will cost $18.00, plus a $1.00 Equipment Fund charge.
– Seniors will pay $12.00, which also includes the $1.00 Equipment Fund fee for everyone in the household.
– For commercial services, the fee is $23.50, plus a $1.00 Equipment Fund charge.

Additionally, charges for overweight bags have been set at $5.00 each.

Households exceeding six bags will incur an extra charge of $5.00 for every bag over the limit.
