An 18-year-old Bucyrus man was injured Monday evening in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 23 in Marion County near the intersection at Linn Hipsher Road.
The Marion Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol investigated the accident which occurred just after 7:30 that evening.
The Patrol reports that Levi Wendling of Bucyrus was trying to pass a truck driven by Indiana resident William Leger III when Wendling’s vehicle went out of control and veered into the truck’s lane of traffic. Both vehicles went off the right side of the road into a guardrail.
While Leger was not injured, Wendling was transported from the scene to Marion General Hospital. Wendling was also cited by the Patrol for failure to maintain control of his vehicle.
