BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The magic of Arendelle is coming to North Central Ohio as the Bucyrus City Schools Summer Community Musical presents its upcoming production of Disney’s “Frozen The Broadway Musical.”
The family-friendly production will run for three performances only, from Friday through Sunday, at the Bucyrus High School Theatre, 900 W. Perry St.
Based on the Academy Award-winning animated film, the Broadway musical expands upon the story of sisters Elsa and Anna. When the newly crowned Queen Elsa accidentally triggers an eternal winter with her hidden ice powers, Anna sets off on an epic journey to save her kingdom and her sister. The stage adaptation features all the songs from the original movie—including the Oscar-winning “Let It Go”—plus an expanded score with new music.
“We are thrilled to bring this heartwarming, magical story to life with the incredible talent right here in our community,” said director Betsy Gerhart. “It’s a story about love, resilience, and family that will completely enchant audiences.”
Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, and 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the door prior to each performance or in advance by calling 419-835-6702.
The Bucyrus City Schools Summer Community Musical brings together local students, educators, and community members to produce theatrical experiences. The program is dedicated to fostering a love for the arts, providing a collaborative creative outlet, and offering accessible entertainment for the Bucyrus community.
