BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Bucyrus Rotary Club is gearing up for Auctionfest 2025, an annual event that has raised over $759,600 since its inception in 2002. Nearly $487,300 of these funds have directly benefited the 501(c)(3) partners that participate with the club each year.

This year, the Rotary Club is partnering with the Crawford County History Alliance, a collective of 16 organizations dedicated to promoting the rich history of Crawford County. Participating organizations include the Bucyrus Historical Society, Crestline Historical Society & Museum, Galion History Center, Crawford County Art Center, Norton Bicentennial, Inc., Harvey One-Room School, Friends of the Big 4 Depot, The Lauretta Schimmoler Museum, Mid-Ohio Lincoln Highway Association, and Bucyrus Copper Kettle Works Museum, Inc.
Auctionfest 2025 will take place on Saturday, April 5, at the Wynford Community Center. The Rotary Club and participating organizations are currently collecting items for the sale and selling tickets for the event, which will feature a sit-down dinner, entertainment, and both live and silent auctions. Tickets are priced at $100 and include a $50 voucher for purchases made that evening. Doors will open at 4 p.m., with dinner served at 5:01 p.m.

Event preparations can be followed on the Bucyrus Rotary Facebook page, where items will be posted for preview. All auction items will be available through Castle Auctions & Appraisals from March 21 to April 4, with the highest online bid setting the opening bid for the live auction. Participants can join the auction online if they cannot attend in person.
Terry Gernert, Rotarian co-chair of the event, emphasized the importance of fun and profitability for the organizations involved. “If it’s not fun, why do it? And if it’s not profitable to the organizations, why do it? This is the 23rd annual event, we have fun, and the effort is well worth the financial support to our club, participating non-profits, and the works of Rotary,” Gernert said.
