Representatives from Integrys held two public meetings Wednesday afternoon in Bucyrus City Council Chambers to discuss Natural Gas Governmental Aggregation.

During the meetings held at 3 and 6 p.m., Integrys representatives Julia D. Hall and Brenda Coffey explained that upon City Council approval their company would supply natural gas to eligible residents of Bucyrus.

Once a contract with Integrys is approved, an opt out notice will be sent out to residents in their monthly utility bill statement explaining they have 21 days to opt out of the program or stay with Columbia Gas, or their current natural gas distributor.

“Those who choose to enter a contract would receive one bill from Columbia of Ohio which would also include charges from Integrys,” Coffey explained to the attendees.

City Safety/Service Director Jeff Wagner said to the representatives that he would like to hold more public meetings prior to having council vote on a contract.
