BUCYRUS — Hazardous weather is believed to have caused a power outage in the southeast region of Bucyrus on Sunday afternoon.

Initial reports said electric customers on Rogers and Prospects streets and the surrounding neighborhoods reported losing power at approximately 3:30 p.m.

A text message from AEP Ohio said power is estimated to be restored Sunday by 7 p.m.

According to the AEP Ohio Outage Map, 547 customers are without power in Bucyrus.

The Bucyrus Police Department said multiple reports have been made and the department is aware of the situation.
