Bucyrus police have been getting quite a workout this week while on duty. For the second time this week officers captured someone following a foot chase.
Officers attempted a traffic stop shortly before 8:30 Wednesday morning on South East Street. Twenty-eight-year-old Dustin Hunt was a passenger in the vehicle and fled on foot. Officers apprehended Hunt in the 400 block of Wallace Avenue.
Hunt was charged with obstructing official business and held on a probation violation. Hunt has a felony record, including prison sentences, for felony trespassing and burglary.

Wednesday evening 18-year-old Blaine Rivers was taken into custody as a result of warrant issued in Marion County. Rivers was held at the county jail until transported.
Thirty-eight-year-old Trenton Davis was issued a misdemeanor citation for possession of marijuana on Wednesday afternoon following a traffic stop.
Also on Wednesday afternoon, Bucyrus police responded to a call regarding an attempted shoplifting incident at Wal-Mart. Police are searching for two men and a woman who dropped the items and fled out of the store. They left in a maroon Honda Accord with temporary tags.
