7:14 a.m.-Officers investigated a report of a vehicle window broken out and a purse stolen in the 1000 block of Martha Ave.

8:52 a.m.-Officers made contact with a woman in the 1000 block of Tiffin Street for the Ohio State Patrol.

9:56 a.m.-Officers did a standby in the 100 block of Franklin Street.

10:22 a.m.-Officers spoke to a man at the police department regarding harassing phone messages.

11:13 a.m.-Officers attempted to make contact with a woman in the 1700 block of Whetstone Street regarding a complaint from Tuesday evening.

11:30 a.m.-Officers recovered the purse that was stolen on Martha Avenue earlier in the morning. The purse was returned to its owner.

11:45 a.m.-A report of a 16-year-old missing girl from the 1300 block of East Southern Avenue was taken. The girl showed up at school.

1:24 p.m.-A report of abandoned property in the 300 block of East Rensselaer Street was investigated.

1:47 p.m.-A report of a domestic problem in the area of Hopley and Southern Avenues was investigated.

2:07 p.m.-Officers took a report of a missing 14-year-old boy from the 800 block of East Rensselaer Street.  Missing is 14-year-old Jesse L. Matthews. He has red hair and brown eyes, is 4 foot 11 inches and weighs 84 pounds. Foul play is not suspected. He was located later in the day.

2:39 p.m.-A domestic problem in the 1300 block of East Southern Avenue was investigated.

2:49 p.m.-Officers took a vandalism report in the 800 block of Beverly Drive.

3:39 p.m.-A report of a go-cart being driven in the area of Woodbine Apartments was investigated.

4:10 p.m.-Officers investigated a reported fight at the corner of Spring and Mansfield Streets. The report was unfounded.

5:18 p.m.-Officers spoke with a person at the station regarding a prior case.

5:25 p.m.-A disturbance in the 700 block of Hopley Avenue was investigated.

9:04 p.m.-A loud music complaint was investigated in the 1400 block of South Sandusky Avenue.

11:58 p.m.-Norfolk and Southern Railroad was contacted about a malfunctioning crossing gate on East Warren Street.

12:43 a.m.-Officers checked the welfare of a resident in the 1000 block of Elm Street.

12:49 a.m.-A resident in the 300 block of West Warren Street reported that someone broke into his garage.

2:04 a.m.-Dustin Javens, 33, was arrested on a charge of physical control. He was issued a citation and released to a sober party.
