BUCYRUS―A Bucyrus Police cruiser was involved in a crash Thursday morning in the 300 block of West Irving Street.
At 7:45 a.m., a motorist in a red truck backed out of a drive and struck the right side of the cruiser that was traveling westbound. No injuries were reported and the crash caused moderate damage to the door and fender of the police cruiser. A citation to the motorist in the truck for improper backing.

8:21 a.m.-An East Mary Street resident reported a snowblower stolen from his yard.
11:52 a.m.-A female was warned against trespassing in the 600 block of South Sandusky Avenue.
12:04 p.m.-Officers conducted a civil standby with the Crawford County Dog Warden and Humane Society in the 200 block of North Highland Avenue.
3:19 p.m.-Officers assisted a disabled motorist in the area of East Mary and North Walnut Streets.
4:33 p.m.- A traffic complaint of a person operating an ATV was taken in the area of Rogers and Osman Streets.
5:07 p.m.- A person was warned for trespassing in the 300 block of East Warren Street after the person was found sleeping under a stairwell.
5:16 p.m.- A welfare check was requested in the 500 block of East Southern Avenue. A caller reported a boy about 9 years old without a coat on out looking for a lost dog. The boy was located several blocks from home and escorted home. The officer spoke with a parent.
5:26 p.m.- A report of possible fraud in a tax filing dispute was taken at the police department.
5:39 p.m.-A two-vehicle accident was reported in the area of North Sandusky Avenue and Mary Street. A white Ford truck backed into a parked car.
5:48 p.m.-A report of a suspicious person was made in the area of Aumiller Park where people were conducting a photoshoot. The involved persons left the area.
6:15 p.m.- Officers investigated a noise disturbance or possible gunshot in the 800 block of Beverly Drive. No incident was located.
8:13 p.m.-A traffic stop was made in the 600 block of Whetstone Street and a person was arrested for drug possession.
8:20 p.m.- A report of a suspicious person who appeared to be car prowling in the 800 block of South East Street was investigated. The person was described as a male in his 20’s wearing a tan coat, black toboggan, shorts and boots. A person matching the description was located and was outside walking around to cool off after a domestic argument.
10:36 p.m.-Officers checked the area of the US 30 overpass and North Sandusky Avenue for an improperly marked bicyclist. The cyclist was reportedly southbound wearing a backpack over a blue coat without lights on the bike and was almost struck by a passing motorist. No one was located matching that description.

1:03 a.m.-Officers investigated an alarm in the 300 block of South Sandusky Avenue. It was a false alarm.
2:00 a.m.-Officers assisted the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department in the Plymouth and Maple Street area.
2:25 a.m.-A report of a single-vehicle accident was investigated in the Perry and River Street area. A car hit the pole on the curve of River Street and West Perry Street. No injuries reporte and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
