As it turns out, the Crawford County Board of Elections wasn’t the only busy agency on Election Day. The Bucyrus Police Department had its hands full all day with eight arrests including four that were drug related.

At 4:27 p.m. Tuesday 24-year-old Rannell E. Cooper and 24-year-old Amanda Phipps were arrested for possession of heroin, possession of drug abuse instruments, possession of drugs, and drug paraphernalia. Both were taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for a court appearance. A child in the household was palced with a relative.

At 10:06 p.m. Tuesday, 22-year-old Nicholas McIntyre and 23-year-old Kasie Frank were arrested for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Both were transported to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for a court appearance.

Jennifer Smith found herself in trouble with the law at 7:11 p.m. after being arrested for domestic violence. Smith was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for a court appearance.

At 9:10 am Tuesday morning 22-year-old Michael Berry and 22-year-old Logan Beeman were arrested in the 100 block of East Lucas. Berry was arrested on a Crawford County warrant and taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for a court date. Beeman was given a court date to appear and released.

After receiving a phone call on two suspicious males in the 300 block of South East Street at 2:18 pm, Bucyrus police officers arrested 28-year-old David Agin on a Crawford County warrant. Agin was given a court date to appear and released.

Bucyrus police arrested Clifford Stanley on Nov. 3 for receiving stolen property. He was held for court.
