BUCYRUS―Bucyrus Police officers assisted Crawford County Sheriff deputies in the area of West Charles and South Poplar Streets in chasing a suspect who had fled.
At 10:12 p.m. Sunday evening, officers helped track down the person. The foot pursuit ended with the arrest of the suspect in the 400 block of West Warren Street.

8:17 a.m.-Officers took a private property accident report in the area of Bucyrus Plaza.
9:58 a.m.-A report of a suspicious person in the 200 block of East Warren Street was investigated. The person is homeless and was warming up in the hallway.
11:42 a.m.-A motorist was issued a traffic citation for driving under suspension in the 300 block of East Mansfield Street.
12:54 p.m.-Officers investigated a report of a shoplifting in the 400 block of North Sandusky Avenue. The suspect had fled the area heading north on North Sandusky Avenue in a black Kia.
1:21 p.m.-Officers attempted to serve a warrant for the Shelby Police Department in the 300 block of Emerson Street.
1:39 p.m.-A report of a vehicle blocking the intersection of South Poplar Street and West Oakwood Avenue was investigated. The motorist’s vehicle was out of gas and after obtaining some, the driver returned to the vehicle.
2:19 p.m.-A report of a fight involving three people and a dog in the 700 block of East Oakwood Avenue was investigated. A dog bite report was documented.
2:55 p.m.- A report of a sick raccoon in the 1100 block of Wade Drive was made.
3:23 p.m.- Mercedes Wireman, 23, was arrested in the 1100 block of John Street on a Crawford County warrant. She was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for court
3:34 p.m.-A traffic report was taken in the 1800 block of East Mansfield Street.
4:27 p.m.- One income tax summons was served at the police department.
7:42 p.m.- A civil standby was requested in the 200 block of South Lane Street.
8:18 p.m.-A report of a person trespassing was made in the 100 block of West Mansfield Street.
9:05 p.m.-Officers assisted a resident experiencing mental issues in the 900 block of North Sandusky Avenue.
11:43 p.m.-Officers spoke to a person at the station about his unruly juvenile.

12:13 a.m.-Officers assisted the Bucyrus Fire Department after a report was received about smoke in the area of Tiffin and West Irving Streets.
12:15 a.m.-A domestic disturbance in the area of Dudley and Maple Streets was investigated.
1:28 a.m.-A report of a possibly intoxicated driver leaving HyMiler was investigated. The vehicle was located parked and unoccupied.
2:43 a.m.-An employee of Dillinger’s reported a vehicle hitting the building and driving away. The vehicle in question was located in front of City Hall and stopped next door at Hardee’s. Erin Fogle, 55, was arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle under the influence. She was issued a citation and released to a sober adult pending a court date.
6:26 a.m.-A person came to the police station to provide a ride to a person being released after an OVI case. Curtiss Booker, 63, was arrested on six warrants out of Richland County. He was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to await extradition to Richland County.
9:45 a.m.-Officers investigated a report of vandalism to a vehicle in the 100 block of South Spring Street.
9:48 a.m.-A report of trash in the street in the 700 block of Beverly Drive was investigated.
9:56 a.m.-Officers picked up a boy’s NEXT bicycle in the 600 block of East Warren Street.
12:18 p.m.-Officers checked the welfare of a man in a truck in the 400 block of West Warren Street. The person was waiting to give someone a ride and was napping.
2:09 p.m.-Officers attempted to locate a vehicle and a woman for Galion Police in the 200 block of Inez Street.
2:50 p.m.-A report of possible drug activity was made.
3:11 p.m.-A parking complaint was investigated in the 200 block of Bland Avenue.
4:23 p.m.- A two-vehicle accident was investigated in the 800 block of South East Street.
5:02 p.m.-A disturbance was investigated in the 700 block of Beverly Drive.
5:37 p.m.-A report of an abandoned bike was made in the area of Waterford Glen.
5:48 p.m.- Officers assisted a person with finding a room for the night.
6:53 p.m.- A domestic disturbance was investigated in the 600 block of Wilbur Street.
8:33 p.m.-A written traffic warning was issued in the 200 block of North Sandusky Avenue.
8:38 p.m.- A disturbance was investigated in the 1200 block of Home Circle Drive.
9:00 p.m.-A welfare check was requested in the 600 block of Garnet Court and EMS was dispatched.
9:54 p.m.- A disturbance involving subjects in the hospital waiting room was investigated in the 600 block of North Sandusky Avenue.
10:02 p.m.- A traffic complaint was made in the area of South Walnut Street and East Oakwood Avenue.
10:30 p.m.-Officers checked the welfare of a resident in the 1100 block of Dean Street.
10:58 p.m.-Officers provided an escort for a local business.
11:19 p.m.-Officers checked a residence in the 400 block of East Southern Avenue after the resident thought she saw someone outside.

3:43 a.m.-Officers responded with EMS personnel to an unknown emergency in the 700 block of Wilbur Street. It was a non-fatal overdose with a person revived with Narcan. The person was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to await possible felony charges for possession of drugs and parole violation.
8:41 a.m.-Officer checked for a person trespassing at a vacant property. Joseph Will, 40, Bucyrus was arrested on suspicion of breaking and entering in the 400 block of West Mansfield St. He is being held pending a court appearance.
9:32 a.m.-Officers spoke to a man at the station about juvenile concerns.
11:07 a.m.-Officers investigated a report of suspicious people in the 1000 block of Woodlawn Avenue. It was a utility contractor doing utility pole inspections and treating the poles with insecticide.
11:20 a.m.-Officers attempted to contact a man in the 800 block of North Sandusky Avenue for the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
11:55 a.m.-A report of a theft of money in the 600 block of East Warren Street was found to be a civil issue.
2:56 p.m.-A report of people trespassing in the300 block of Iron Street was investigated. The people were gone when officers arrived.
3:12 p.m.- An abandoned bicycle was reported in the 800 block of South Walnut Street.
3:49 p.m.- A welfare check was requested in the area of Woodbine Apartments.
5:06 p.m.- A 911 hangup call was investigated in the 500 block of West Southern Avenue.
5:13 p.m.- A North Walnut Street resident reported being harassed by someone they know.
5:17 p.m.-A domestic dispute was investigated in the 300 block of West Center Street.
6:33 p.m.- Officers investigated a disturbance in the 500 block of Failor Avenue in which a person was allegedly experiencing mental problems.
6:49 p.m.- Officers assisted a person experiencing mental problems and the person was transported to the hospital for care.
7:30 p.m.- Officers assisted the Crawford County Sheriff’s deputies in the 400 block of West Charles Street. A person with an active warrant was located and taken into custody.
7:54 p.m.- An assault report was made in the area of Waterford Glen.
8:11 p.m.- A report of an erratic driver was made in the area of Whetstone Street and Hopley Avenue.
8:29 p.m.- A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 200 block of East Warren Street. People were looking in a dumpster.
8:45 p.m.- Officers assisted Crawford County Sheriff’s deputies attempting to locate a juvenile in the area of East Charles and South Poplar Streets.
8:46 p.m.- Officers assisted Portsmouth Ambulance personnel in the 500 block of Wedgewood Court.
9:31 p.m.- A resident in the 300 block of Arch Drive was warned for the dog running at large.
10:31 p.m.-A domestic disturbance was reported in the 500 block of West Mary Street.
