BUCYRUS―A woman was arrested when Bucyrus Police officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 600 block of East Oakwood Avenue.

At 3:47 p.m. on Friday, officers received a complaint about an irate woman. Betty Brewer, 21, was arrested on a domestic violence charge. She was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for a court appearance.

10:25 a.m.-A report of a 911 hang up in the 1700 block of Marion Road was investigated.

12:13 p.m.-A report of an injured man in the area of East Lucas Street and Hopley Avenue was unfounded.

1:09 p.m.-Officers assisted Crawford County Job and Family Services personnel in the 400 block of West Warren Street.

1:26 p.m.-Officers made a welfare check in the 1200 block of Woodlawn Avenue.

3:21 p.m.-Officers mediated a domestic situation in the 400 block of McKinley Avenue.

3:59 p.m.-Officers responded to a disturbance in the 1600 block of East Mansfield Street. People were arguing outside a vehicle.

4:06 p.m.-Officers investigated a report of a suspicious person in the 1700 block of Marion Road. Two men unknown to the residents at the apartment left three bags and a bike behind in the laundry room. One person was contacted and was trying to get a ride to Columbus and he waited at Southern Lights Shopping center.

4:09 p.m.-Officers responded to a juvenile complaint in the 100 block of South Sandusky Avenue. They left the area and regrouped. (see next incident).

5:10 p.m.-Officers responded to a juvenile complaint in the 500 block of South Sandusky Avenue. Young juveniles were charging a cell phone and eating a pizza and they discussed social distancing and left the area.

5:23 p.m.-Officer received a report that a person punched a drunk man in Waterford Glen and the sober man had left the area.

6:23 p.m.-Officers mediated a domestic situation in the Waterford Glenn area.

9:01 p.m.-Officers took a report of vandalism in the 200 block of Penn Avenue.

12:40 a.m.-Officers took a report of vandalism in the 100 block of Dudley Street.

10:59 a.m.-Officers investigated a one-car injury accident in the 1600 block of East Mansfield Street. The driver was taken to the Bucyrus Community Hospital by EMS personnel. The crash was the result of the driver having a medical issue. Two power poles were damaged and AEP was called to the scene. The car was towed from the scene by Oceola Garage.

1:50 p.m.-A resident in the 1100 block of Hopley Avenue reported damage to his yard by a large truck on Friday morning.

2:52 p.m.- A private property accident was taken in the 200 block of East Mary Street in the Kroger parking lot in which a Toyota Camry was damaged.

4:08 p.m.- Officers took a report of a person trespassing in the 200 block of Penn Avenue.

4:14 p.m.- Officers assisted with a residential lockout in the 1000 block of Rogers Street.

5:33 p.m.- A domestic dispute was investigated in the 900 block of South Walnut Street. The matter was mediated.

5:34 p.m.- Officers assisted with a vehicle lockout in the 800 block of Hopley Avenue. Keys were left in a U-Haul with the engine running. The owner was able to respond with keys and the officer was recalled.

8:27 p.m.- A disturbance was investigated in the area of Bucyrus Plaza. An ex-boyfriend was reportedly unwelcome and refusing to leave. The person left the area on foot.

854 p.m.- Officers investigated the report of a fight in the area of Bucyrus Plaza. A person had allegedly made threats then dispersed.

9:09 p.m.- A welfare check was requested in the 700 block of Ann Street regarding child custody.

9:32 p.m.- A welfare check was requested in the area of Beal and Marion Road. A person had been dropped off in Bucyrus by a friend and was trying to return to Marion on foot.

10:22 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance in the 400 block of North Sandusky Avenue. A female patron and three kids were harassing a clerk. The four people were accused of theft. They will all be calling the manager.

11:42 p.m.-Officers took a report of theft by deception in the 200 block of Wiley Street.

11:55 p.m.-Officers responded to a reported breaking and entering in the 1700 block of Whetstone Street. A resident heard noises and officers made a security check of the area and all was secure.

1:35 p.m.-A woman in the 500 block of Garnet Court was issued a verbal warning regarding misuse of 911 after allowing her child to play on the phone and the child dialing 911 several times.

3:12  p.m.-Officers investigated traffic complaint in the 300 block of East Mansfield Street.

3:19  p.m.-Officers investigated an animal complaint in the 1700 block of Whetstone Street. A resident of Indian Creek apartments was trying to corral a loose dog and the dog bit him on the finger. EMS personnel responded and treated the small puncture wound.

5:39 p.m.- A 911 hang-up call was investigated in the 800 block of Cleland Avenue. The adult caller was warned against the misuse of 911.

8:43 p.m.-A domestic dispute was investigated in the 900 block of Reid Street. Due to the nature of the call, EMS personnel and the Bucyrus Fire Department also responded. One of the parties involved left the area and no injuries were reported.

9:11 p.m.-An involved party to a domestic in the 900 block of Reid Street returned to the area and was issued a court date for a warrant out of Richland County. He was given a ride to Galion by a relative.

10:23 p.m.-A domestic dispute was investigated in the 900 block of Reid Street. The couple worked through their issues.
