BUCYRUS—On Monday, January 23, at approximately 4:00 pm, Officers conducted a traffic stop on Plymouth Street near US 30.
The driver, 51-year-old Mark Yates of North Fairfield, was found to have a suspended driver’s license and two active warrants for his arrest.
K9 Capone was alerted to an odor of narcotics in the vehicle.
A vehicle search was conducted, and approximately 13 grams of suspected Methamphetamine, a digital scale, and a loaded 9mm handgun were found in the vehicle.
Yates was transported to the Crawford County Jail to be held on the following charges:
Possession of Schedule I or II drug F-3 Bulk amount >3 grams, weapons under disability, improper handling of weapons in a motor vehicle, and possession of drug abuse instruments.
Yates was a previously convicted felon.
