Travelers in Bucyrus who regularly deal with potholes and rough streets can take solace in knowing that remedies for bumpy rides are on the way.

Bucyrus City Council’s Platting Committee met Tuesday morning and approved legislation for city officials to move forward with the 2014 Mill and Pave project. With the late addition of some repair work on Mansfield Street from Lane Street to Mary Street, a total of 21 streets, alleys and city parking lots are scheduled to get some much needed attention.

The project is not to exceed $996,000.

Legislation authorizing Service/Safety Director Jeff Wagner to seek bids for the work will be forwarded to City Council for action at a future meeting. A list of the streets and areas listed on the 2014 Mill and Pave Project is shown below.
