The Bucyrus Police Department will be a turn in location for ‘National Prescription Drug Take Back Day’ Saturday, October 22, 2016 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. ‘Operation Medicine Cabinet’ assists the public in disposing of unused and expired medication to help reduce prescription drug abuse.
Patrons are asked to remove all prescription labels and may bring: prescription pills of any kind, over the counter medication, medication samples, pet medications, vitamins.
Do not bring: needles, syringes, lancets; thermometers, aerosol cans; IV bags, hydrogen peroxide; infectious waste, empty containers, no liquids.
Thank you to the METRICH enforcement unit for offering this program which is part of a comprehensive community-wide approach, in addition to Operation Hope, and the work of partner organizations and volunteers to reduce drug abuse and addiction in our community.
