Press release
Students from the Bucyrus Middle School will have the opportunity to enjoy a day of activities outside the classroom May 17. 116 students in grades six through eight will embark on the Honors Trip to Cleveland.
Students qualified for the Honors Trip by maintaining a 3.0 grade point average, no F’s on their report card, five or less unexcused absences and no suspensions. The trip is being funded, in part, by the Bridges Grant and a Mini-Grant from the Bucyrus Education Foundation.
“I am incredibly proud of each of these students who earned the privilege of going on this Honors Trip,” Secondary School Associate Principal Jay Dennison said. “I hope each of them enjoys the day and realizes their attendance is a direct reflection of the hard work, focus and determination each of them puts on their education.”
Students will enjoy a visit to the Cleveland Botanical Gardens, a tour of the Crawford Auto Aviation Museum of the Western Reserve Historical Society and a Cleveland Indians game.
