James Cady has been in the county jail for nearly three months and he’s going to stay there until he completes a six-month sentence for misdemeanor assault.

The 25-year-old Bucyrus man pleaded guilty to the amended charge which was originally felonious assault. Cady admitted to Judge Russell Wiseman he fought with Marquis Chapman back in July. In addition to the six-month jail sentence with credit for 83 days served, Cady was fined $500 and must forfeit the knife involved to Bucyrus police.

Cady asked for work release privileges and was informed that was up to Sheriff Scott Kent.
