BUCYRUS — A Bucyrus man was injured in a motorcycle crash on Thursday.

James “Mike” Allonas, 62, was assisted by a  passerby in the area in which the crash occurred on McCurdy Road, east of Bucyrus. The person and her husband took Mike to Bucyrus Community Hospital.

According to Allonas’ daughter, Jennifer Allonas, Mike was then taken by ambulance to Med Central in Mansfield where he is now listed in critical condition.

“I don’t know how long he laid there before someone found him. I guess he was going around the corner and hit some gravel,” said Jennifer.

Jennifer said her dad underwent surgery Thursday night.

“He had a ruptured spleen that had to be removed. He has many broken bones, collar bone, ribs and a collapsed lung,” Jennifer said. “He is in critical condition and in ICU. They have him on a breathing machine to help him breathe and the doctor said he’s pretty bad but will pull through.”

Jennifer is asking for prayers for her father who is the former owner of Mike’s TV and Appliances in Bucyrus.
