BUCYRUS―A Bucyrus man was arrested after allegedly stabbing his wife before fleeing their residence.
At 12:47 a.m., officers responded to a domestic violence incident in the 900 block of Reid Street. Reportedly a woman was stabbed and the suspect had left on foot.
The female victim was found hiding in the residence and taken by ambulance for treatment of her injuries at Bucyrus Community Hospital.
The suspect was also reported to be in a blue Dodge Neon and was located by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, claiming he was positive for COVID-19 and quarantined.
The man was arrested and taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for a court appearance.

9:47 a.m.-Officers retrieved a $20 counterfeit bill at Walmart for investigation.
1:43 p.m.-A domestic dispute in the 700 block of Wilbur Street was reported.
2:23 p.m.-A domestic dispute in the 600 block of East Warren Street was reported. No assaults or threats were reported and one half left with the other’s PlayStation headset.
4:36 p.m.-A hit-skip accident was reported in the 1800 block of East Mansfield Street. One of the drivers pulled over and the other kept traveling east.
4:38 p.m.-A domestic dispute in the 600 block of East Warren Street was reported. One of the parties gathered belongings and went to another location.
5:33 p.m.-A suspicious person complaint was investigated in the 500 block of North Sandusky Avenue. A patron at a store was suspected of fraud, having several different identifications and traveling from out of state. The person left prior to officers’ arrival and direction was unknown.
8:55 p.m.-A suspicious person complaint was investigated in the 100 block of East Rensselaer Street. It was someone who lived in the area listening to music in their car.
9:56 p.m.-Officers spoke with a person about an animal complaint in the 400 block of East Charles Street. Dogs were reportedly barking excessively. They were quiet for the time being.
11:07 p.m.-Officers responded to an alarm in the 1800 block of East Mansfield Street. It was a false alarm.
