BUCYRUS—A local man was injured when he was struck while riding his bike by a hit and run driver on Saturday.
Bucyrus Police were called to the corner of South East Street and East Southern Avenue at 1:48 p.m. They found that Thomas Miller, 72, Bucyrus, had been injured from injuries sustained in the incident.
“He was struck by a white Ford that had fled the scene,” said Walker.
The Bucyrus Fire Department and Portsmouth Ambulance also responded to the scene.
Walker said the driver of the Ford turned himself into police on Sunday. Chad Spears, 45, Bucyrus, has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident and other charges are pending.
