BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Bucyrus Little Theatre (BLT) invites audiences to kick off the holiday season with side-splitting laughter as it stages Christmas Belles, sponsored by Firelands Federal Credit Union, Lulu’s Kitchen, and The Ohio Flower Girls, the uproarious comedy by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten. Directed by Abbey Kanellakis in her BLT directorial debut, this heartwarming Southern farce promises festive mishaps, family feuds, and plenty of Christmas cheer.
About the Show
It’s Christmas time in the small town of Fayro, Texas, and the Futrelle Sisters, Frankie, Twink, and Honey Raye, are anything but festive. A very pregnant Frankie is overdue with twins, Twink is fresh out of jail after accidentally burning down half the town, and Honey Raye is desperately trying to save the Tabernacle of the Lamb’s annual Christmas Program from total disaster.
Add in a vengeful former director, a Santa passing a kidney stone, food-poisoned shepherds, a sheep with attitude, and a shocking family secret, and even an Elvis impersonator at the manger might not be enough to save the day. But in true Futrelle fashion, the sisters pull together for a Christmas Eve the town will never forget. This hilarious holiday journey is guaranteed to bring joy (and belly laughs) to your world!
