The Bucyrus Public Library is losing its director. Matt Ross is leaving Bucyrus to take a similar post at the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library.
Ross became director of the Bucyrus library in December of 2008 and will officially begin his new job at Tiffin on Aug. 1. While at Bucyrus Ross oversaw the completion of the new library annex. The library also tried but failed in one attempt to pass a levy that would have supported the library.
Ross came to Bucyrus from the Marion Public Library where he was head of reference. He also served as a reference librarian at the Putnam County District Library.
The Friends of the Bucyrus Public Library and library board will host a public reception in Ross’s honor from 1 to 3 p.m. on July 30 at the Bucyrus Public Library.
