What was old is new again as the Bucyrus Kiwanis Club takes over the reins for the Community Garage Sale. The Kiwanis Club is reviving the event, which used to be hosted by the Telegraph-Forum, just in time for the start of the garage sale this season.
“Nobody’s done it for a number of years,” explained Kiwanis member Doug Weisenauer. “We wanted to revive it.”
The Community Garage Sale will be this Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Expo building at the Crawford County Fairgrounds.
There is no limit to what could be for sale at the event.
“If someone brings in the kitchen sink—we’ll sell it,” Weisenauer quipped. He expects there to be everything from antiques to household items at garage sale.
Weisenauer said they are still accepting registration forms for vendors to set up during the sale. The Kiwanis Club will also be accepting donated items that will be sold at the garage sale.
Anyone wishing to sign up to be a vendor for the Community Garage Sale can contact Weisenauer at 419-563-1448. Vendors will be able to set up starting at 6:00 a.m. Saturday. Doors open to the public at 8:00 a.m. The Kiwanis Club is selling spaces for $25 each or two for $40.
“We’re looking forward to a good day and a lot of people.
