BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The pathway to college can be challenging, but Bucyrus High School is committed to easing that journey for its students. The school recently held its annual Financial Aid Night to assist the senior class of 2025 and their families. The event provided professional guidance on FAFSA applications, scholarships, types of aid, and other financial resources for higher education.
Cathy Belfiore, Director of Financial Aid at Heidelberg University, attended the event as a spokesperson. Her expertise helped attendees gain a clearer understanding of financial aid processes and provided them with contact information for ongoing support.
“The motivation behind the event was to ensure that families had access to important information about financial aid opportunities,” said Paige Pond, Bucyrus High School Guidance Counselor. “It was a great educational way to get students and families involved within the school district.”
The most common questions asked during the event were related to changes in financial aid and how they impact the packages that students receive.
Looking ahead, the district encourages families to participate in similar events, including an upcoming FAFSA workshop hosted by the Crawford Success Center on February 4 at 5:30 p.m. in collaboration with North Central State College.
