Press release
On May 13, Bucyrus students will enjoy “The Roaring Twenties.” This year’s prom night will be held at the Bucyrus Secondary School. The Grand March will begin at 7:00 p.m. followed by a dance in the Middle School gym from 8:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.
“This night is the highlight of the school year for these kids,” said Event Coordinator Amy Moody. “This is the last big event seniors will get to share with their classmates and friends before graduation. Our hope is that they enjoy their evening while making positive memories that will last them a lifetime.”
The Prom King and Queen will be announced following the Grand March. Lifetouch will be on hand to take professional photographs as well.
“Our students look forward to this evening with great anticipation and excitement,” said Secondary School Principal Dr. Mark Burke. “Amy Moody and Kayli McCullough, our Prom co-advisors, have done a great job working with our students this year. We want all those in attendance to have a great time, but we also want them to be safe and respectful to each other.”
The after-prom will be held from 11:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. at the Bucyrus Area YMCA. Students will have the opportunity to swim, play basketball and enjoy a variety of board games. Pizza and snacks will be provided throughout the evening.
