BUCYRUS—The Bucyrus Fire Department responded to a series of calls for assistance from residents in the area on May 11th and 12th. The first call was received on May 11th at 11:26 AM, when the department was dispatched to Dunloe Ct. to assist a resident. Over the course of the next two days, the department received 20 additional calls for assistance, ranging from fire alarm investigations to medical emergencies.

On May 11th, the department responded to 1250 Walnut St. at 2:44 PM for a fire alarm investigation. At 3:03 PM, they were called to N. Walnut St. to transport a resident to Bucyrus hospital, followed by a non-injury accident on Lincoln Hwy./Sinn Rd. at 3:42 PM. The department responded to three more medical emergencies on May 11th, including calls to Whetstone St., Wedgewood Ct., and Wilbur St., where they transported residents to Bucyrus hospital.

On May 11th at 8:03 PM, the department responded to 207 N. Poplar St. for open burning and issued a warning. They then responded to a malfunctioning stove at 1779 Whetstone St. at 8:31 PM. On May 12th, the department responded to five additional medical emergencies, including calls to Aumiller Park Dr., Waterford Dr., and Whetstone St., as well as two calls to assist residents on Nevada Wynford Rd. and Lemert Rd. in Holmes Twp.

The department also responded to an injury accident on Marion Melmore/Wyandot Rd. at 3:46 PM on May 12th and transported two individuals to Bucyrus hospital. They responded to a medical call on E. Warren St. at 1:03 PM and another on Monnett St. at 5:14 PM on May 13th.
