BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—A tragic fire this morning on West Mansfield Street has resulted in the death of one adult and a Siberian Husky dog, according to the Bucyrus City Fire Department. Another dog located outside the home was unharmed.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released, as officials are working to notify family members. The State Fire Marshal has been called to the scene due to the fatality, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
Fire crews received the emergency call at 8:51 a.m. and arrived at the scene in less than five minutes.
This incident marks the first fatal fire in Bucyrus since December 2010, when three children lost their lives in a mobile home fire.
