Bucyrus Elementary School is proud to announce that Maddison McDaniel, a fifth grader at
BES, is the first place winner of the Masonic Jurisdiction Essay contest for Family Life Week.
In her essay, Maddison discussed the importance of her family in her life. Maddison was honored in a ceremony at the Masonic Temple where she received a plaque and a $200 prize that will be used in the classroom.
“By voluntarily entering the contest, it shows that Maddison not only has passion for her family, but also for her education,” fifth grade Language Arts teacher Leah Barger said. “We are very proud of Maddison for her writing accomplishments.”
Principal Erica Dietzel speaks for all of Bucyrus Elementary when she said, “Our school is extremely proud of Maddison’s demonstrated writing talent, learned skills, and initiative in entering her essay.”
