The Bucyrus City School District Education Foundation recently announced the recipients of fourteen Mini-Grants for the 2017-2018 school year. The total amount of the fourteen grants was $6,163.72, and was awarded to teachers to enhance student-learning experiences and provide unique staff development opportunities.
Recipients of the Mini-Grants at Bucyrus Elementary School included: Leader in Me Leadership Events (Kim Haldeman, $500); The 7 Habits for Families (Kim Haldeman, $344.75); School Wide Calendar (Allie Hawkins, $386); Author Study Collaborative (Dawn Martin, $251.55); 7 Habits Training Materials (Scott Tinnermeier, $500); Using iPads in the Classroom (Michelle Vance, $419.20); TeachArtsOhio Artist in Residence Mosaic Indian Head (Patrick Moore, $500); Elementary Essentials for Art (Patrick Moore, $342.52)
Recipients of the Mini-Grants at Bucyrus Secondary School included: Children’s Theatre (Jay Dennison, $500); Children’s Theatre (Kevin Fourman, $500); Middle School Honors Trip (Matt Makeever, $500); Oh The Places You Will Go With Science (Pat Hargis, $500); Introduction to Pickleball (Nate Hill, $419.70); ELA 9 (Shannon Henize, $500).
“We are very fortunate to have a fantastic support organization like the Bucyrus City Schools Education Foundation,” Bucyrus Superintendent Kevin Kimmel said. “These funds help our teachers and staff to continue striving to provide each of our students with a customized and personalized educational experience.”
