BUCYRUS – A longtime dental practice in town is still “creating beautiful smiles” – with a new name and a new dentist on staff.

Bucyrus Dental Solutions, 126 Hill Street, is changing its name to Crawford Dental Group, but it’s still the same business area residents have come to know, according to the practice manager, Kay Smith.

“We want people to know it’s still local. We haven’t been bought out,” said Smith. “It’s still the same owners, still the hometown feeling, still the same office, and we’ve been at the same location for over 40 years.”

The dental group, Smith said, is also pleased to announce the newest addition to its team – Clair Eristen, D.D.S. A Galion native, Dr. Eristen joined the practice in May after graduating from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry.

“It’s good. It’s going great. It’s so nice to be done with school,” Dr. Eristen said. “It’s a much faster pace than in dental school but it’s good. I was so excited to come back here again.”

Dr. Eristen, 26, already worked at the practice for a year as a dental assistant during college. She graduated from Galion High School in 2015, then went on to Kent State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in 2019.

Dr. Eristen joins two other veterans at Crawford Dental Group – Glen McMurray, D.D.S., who is marking his 42nd year in the Bucyrus office, and partner Autumn Sackett, D.D.S., who has practiced there for 21 years.

Crawford Dental Group offers a full range of general and cosmetic dental treatments, Smith said, including orthodontics, implants, dentures, periodontal exams, teeth whitening, and even sleep studies.

The group’s philosophy is to provide treatment to the whole person, with a special focus on how teeth and gums relate to total body health. Additional information is available by calling the office at 419-562-0203.
