The Bucyrus City Schools will be hosting an auction at the Lincoln Administrative Building Oct. 15 at 4 p.m.

Some items available during the auction will include cabinets, student desks and chairs, tables, lawn mower, large commercial refrigerator. The auction will begin promptly at 4:00 p.m. and a complete list of items available will be available prior to the sale.

The goal of the auction for the district is to sell items that no longer have a useful function to the district.

“This is something that has been needed for quite some time,” Superintendent Kevin Kimmel said. “Immediately after the renovations were completed in 2009, we held auctions and they were financially successful for our district.”

The 2009 auctions were conducted by Lyle Gebhardt and Mike Zahn, and netted the district nearly $50,000.

“We are very excited that Lyle and Mike have agreed to conduct this auction for us,” Kimmel said. “We are hopeful that their expertise will allow us to maximize our results.”
